A library card is the key to information and adventure for young people. It is one of the most valuable things a child can own. It allows them to check out books, movies, music, and much more, as well as immediate access to electronic resources and eBooks.
To obtain cards for your students, each child must have a parent either stop in to the library to register for a card individually OR have a parent fill out and sign a Library Card Application. Applications are available for teachers to download and print right from for their classrooms.
Gather your students' completed applications and submit them to the Library. Library cards will then be created for each child and can be sent back to your classroom for distribution. New cards may be picked up during a class trip as long as forms have been submitted to the Library at least one week before the visit. Library cards (and even replacement cards for those that have been lost) are free, but parental permission is required, as any material late fees or replacement costs will then be the parent's responsibility.
Contact the Library if you have any further questions about this service.
